Naming a new document

Recommended Posts

You name the file when you save or export it.

On the Save window and Export Window, you have a Filename box.  Just enter the name in there and complete the save or export :)

Hi Deva,

In the Welcome screen there's a small menu icon on the bottom right of each file/thumbnail. tap on it and select rename to rename the file. This is how you rename files that are stored inside Affinity app (which are not accessible from outside the app). If you already have the file/document opened then you can only name it when you either export the file (menu Document ▸ Export on the top of the interface) or when you save a copy of the document (menu Document ▸ Save A Copy on the top of the interface) as an .afphoto file (our native) file format to work with it on a Mac or a PC.

Aha! On the welcome screen...

And there is a duplicate file option there too... I tried using 'Save a Copy' to make a duplicate, but it does not allow the copy to be saved in Affinity, only to the Cloud.

Okay, I'm sorted out! Thanks!
