MartinKoss
Hello This is my first post here. I just bought Affinity Photo for iPad and the first thing I tried to do I can't seem to do. I want to use a brush and select a color from the photo. I have the brush tool and see the color picker but cannot see a way of getting the color from the photo. Also I have no idea what the little circular tools are next to the color picker. Is there a manual? Cheers. Martin
Staff stokerg Posted July 24, 2017 Staff Share Posted July 24, 2017 Hi Martin, There are a couple of ways to do this. You can use the Colour picker on the Colour tab and once you've picked the colour you want, you should see it appear in the small circle to the right of the colour picker on the colour tab. If you then tap this circle, the colour is applied to the brush. The 2nd method, with the brush selected, now press and hold your finger on the screen and you'll get the colour picker appear. Just move this over the colour you want to use and then release your finger from the screen. The colour will have been picked and applied to the brush tip. No manual at the moment but there is an inbuilt help which you can access from the start screen of the app by clicking the ? in the top right of the screen. MartinKoss
Thank you. I must admit I hadn't tried the obvious of trying to tap and hold with my finger. I was tapping on the photo with the pencil! Thanks again. Martin
