Michael B
I have a logo to use but it is attached to a white background. I need the logo text intact but without the white background. Ive done this once on another project but for the life of me I cant figure it out again.
JFisher
Hi Michael B and welcome to the forum :) Would it be possible to provide a copy of the file so I can have a look at this for you?
toltec
You didn't say if it's Photo or Designer you are using, but If it's Photo go Filters > Colours > Erase White Paper. Don't know if Designer does that too? Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.
R C-R
Is your logo a raster (pixel-based) image or composed of vector objects? Which app are you using? The method used to remove the background will depend on both of these things. Alfred
Affinity Designer doesn't have filters, so the 'Erase White Paper' option isn't available there, but in either app you can do the following: 1. Select the layer in the Layers panel 2. Click on the 'Blend Ranges' gearwheel next to the padlock icon at the top of the panel • The Blend Options dialog will pop up 3. Drag the right-hand end of the 'Source Layer Ranges' graph all the way down • The white background will become transparent • The rest of the image will become semi-transparent 4. Drag the left-hand end of the 'Source Layer Ranges' graph across to reintroduce the lost opacity into the main image Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
