scottzkee
I have affinity photo and affinity Designer. I am coming from photoshop. This is what I want to do to a font: On photoshop it's pretty simple under layers - gradients. How can this be done in Affinity Photo and is their a way to set it as a style so it can be done quickly for future use. Thank you!
toltec
You mean this sort of thing with a style (Style 7) Create the text with the Artistic Text Tool Select the Gradient Tool and drag across the text to "gradiate" it. Click on the round handles, top and bottom of the gradient control bar to set the colours. Right click on the text and Create Style MattP and Dave Harris 2 Quote Windows PCs. Dave Harris
It can also be done as a text style. Create the same way then Text > Text Styles > Create Paragraph Style. (Or via the Text Styles panel.)
scottzkee
If I do not have Style 7 is there a way to download this preset? I have Onyx so I know I am in the right place...
toltec
That is what Affinity created for me in the styles panel when I Right Clicked on the text and selected "Create Style". It is not a default style ! If you type some text, modify it with a gradient or colours and do the same (Right click and Create style), it will create a style for you, You can rename the styles, make new categories of styles and export them, Click on the little menu icon to the right of the Styles panel for options. result a new style - Style 9 the menu Quote Windows PCs.
