TEcHNOpls Posted July 17, 2017 Share Posted July 17, 2017 Hi, 1. Open CR2 raw from Canon 6D (in my case) 2. On Master layer set +21% shadows, exposure +1. 3. Set -30% highlights, check if they are recovered. Then set highlight to 0%. 4. Add a brush overlay and mark some area that needs recovery. 5. In it, do -30% highlights. Notice it does not change anything, highlight are not recovered. Also the overlay remains red, you need to switch to Master layer to see these not working. 6. It's basically to do with switching between overlays/master.
