Tutorial to replace a color of an object in affinity photo

Recommended Posts

The only one I know of is    Affinity Photo Changing Eye Colour

The technique is used on eyes, but works very well for many things.

There are many techniques available though and it makes a difference which one you use. depending on what you want to recolour.

Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.

A quick, clumsy and rough method I can think about is:

 - Use the Selection Brush Tool to select the object you are interested in.

 - Generate a new layer from that Selection.

- Use the HSL Adjustment to change the color of the New Layer.

Best regards!

Go to Help and search for the Colour Replacement Brush Tool. The Affinity help system is really good -- much better than most other software.

Basically, you select the colour replacement brush (under the normal paintbrush), select a foreground colour and then just start painting. It will replace the colour it first finds under the brush, taking note of the tolerance setting in the top toolbar. Easy.
