Saeufer
Hi, is it possible to Drag&Drop my edited Image out of Affinity Photo to an Web-Upload form (e.g. http://www.dropzonejs.com/), without saving/exporting it? This would be a nice feature and would save me a lot of time. Thanks.
Staff stokerg Posted July 17, 2017 Staff Share Posted July 17, 2017 Hi Saeufer and Welcome to the Affinity Forums, It's not possible, you would 1st need to export/save the image and then drag from Finder (if on a Mac) or from Windows Explorer (if on Windows) to the site mentioned. Hi stokerg, thanks for your reply. Is this a planned feature or can I make a feature request for it? Thanks.

Thanks. By all means you make can make a request for it in the Requests section of the forums :) If it's something the Dev team can getting working, i'm not so sure about. As technically the final file doesn't exist until it's been saved/exported from Affinity.
toltec
An Affinity file would be too complex, lots of layers, text, adjustments, transparency and undo information. Dropzone only supports JPEG (or maybe a few simple files types like PNG?). You have to "dumb down" the Affinity .afphoto file first. The easiest way is to Export it. Anyway, dropzone asks for a file to be "dropped" not saved to a folder. Very different things. I think that would need ftp? Dropzone would have to make a folder available. Lots of security implications too. I don't know about dropzone, but with ftp you can get software that automatically uploads from a designated folder, Whenever a file appears in the folder it uploads it immediately. You could export from Affinity, then the rest is done for you. Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.
