All settings of the mix brush tool are not saved. Bug or something wrong doing?

Recommended Posts

The task is to process more than 1000 photos.
For retouching, you need a mix brush with certain settings (flow, Strenght, Auto Load Brush, Mode: RGB). When you save a brush, the settings (Strenght, Auto Load Brush, Mode: RGB) are not saved. It is necessary at each opening of the document to reconfigure the brush. Is this a bug or is there a variation how to solve this problem?

Did you try Edit > Defaults > Save ?

However, some settings do save, some don't. Serif are apparently working on improving this.

While everything looks very sad.
Even during one session, the settings are not synchronized.
If you want to make one photo, then AP copes with its task.
The processing of large groups of photographs reveals a variety of inconveniences.

On the video example of the settings that I need to save.

I noticed one more feature. On an empty document, you can not download a missing color.

Sorry, i could not see what actual settings you used on the video. Resolution a bit too low for my ageing eyesight.

But I just made a brush with the settings below

I then went, Edit > Defaults > Save and quit the program. Next time I loaded Affinity and loaded a document, it had all those brush settings and the colour.

Affinity 1.5.2.69

Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.

Oh well, I know some tools don't save defaults.  :{

I'm afraid you'll just have to wait for the next release. Saving defaults for tools was discussed recently by someone from Serif, so hopefully not too long to wait.

I really hope so. I several months ago completely passed from PS to AP. I like a lot, but some moments are still very raw.

You can do at least as in the PS. To make all the settings of the current document, they were also relevant for the newly opened one. It is possible with the dialog box (Default settings or as in the current document), or through the checkbox in the settings.
When you process a lot of images every day, every time to reconfigure the brush is very, very uncomfortable. Performance in comparison with PS in times falls.
