tomatohorse
So I'm trying to create the following text effect: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vwx8ztdmhlwgafm/Capture.PNG?dl=0 As you can see, the bottom of the text has a curve "pushing" up into it, while the top remains straight. How can one achieve this in Affinity Designer? Thanks. love-sietspl
Staff MEB Posted July 12, 2017 Staff Share Posted July 12, 2017 Hi tomatohorse, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Currently there's no Perspective or Mesh Warp Distortion Tools in Designer so the only way to achieve this is distorting each letter shape manually. tomatohorse
Oh, okay - thanks for the reply. Hmm...I am looking for a way to distort the letters manually but I can't find it. How do you go about doing this in Affinity?
Staff MEB Posted July 12, 2017 Staff Share Posted July 12, 2017 You have to covert the text to curves, selecting the text object then going to menu Layer ▸ Convert to Curves, or simply pressing ⌘ (cmd) + ↵(Enter). Then change to the Node Tool select each letter and drag the nodes as you see fit. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
