When you Control Double Click to start Affinity Photo and reset stuff, I notice one of the options you can reset is Assets.

Can anybody tell what they are?

I won't be able to sleep tonight otherwise ;)

I got nowhere with searching Help. Oddly enough.

Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.

Hi Toltec,

It looks like this has been carried over erroneously from Designer I'll get that logged :)

Great work as always Toltec!

As mentioned here, on Macs there is a corresponding assets.propcol file at per user path ~/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto/Data/Library/Application Support/user/.

Just as an experiment, I renamed the file to assets.propcol.BU so Affinity Photo would not recognize it, restarted the app into the clear data window, & ticked just the Reset Assets option. This created a new assets.propcol file nearly identical to the original one -- still just 332 bytes. It seems to have no function, nor does the app seem to misbehave if the file is missing, but there is somewhere in the app the code to recreate a factory fresh version if it is missing.

We believe this has been fixed in beta builds since #82 and will be included in 1.6 when it is released
