Hi Wosch,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Multi-selection is only available for features that require more than one image when adding them through the Photos app (Panorama, Stacks, Focus Merge, HDR Merge). Select one of these features click the camera icon to import/open images from Photos app, tap the blue Select text on the top right in the selection screen, then tap the various images you want to pick up (they will be highlighted with a blue outline) and press OK.

Thanks for this explanation.

I hoped that it is possible to import more then one file for RAW development ...

Anyway. This is a great software. Just missing support for typical workflows for working on photo projects like

- import a bulk of images

- add ratings

- filter by ratings

- edit top rated images

- export all top rated images

Currently affinity photos is brilliant for editing just one image.

Damn!

And this update is only from 1.6.2 to 1.6 (point) 3? That’s a lot for one small point.

I can imagine what 1.7 update will be. Probably stare at the app, and it will know what I want.

Ah, what a great update. The portrait mode is very welcome.

It's unfortunate that the photos 'picker' does not work for straight import from the photos app. My workflow like many others is to take shot raw files into photos on mobile and then need to select multiples into Affinity for editing and passback the .jpg exports.

I am not looking to use Affinity as a DAM but rather a Lightroom replacement for batch editing/developing of photos.

Would be excellent if this could happen. As it would be also great if there were a way to bypass the photo app and import raw files in batch direct from an SD card. The app does feel somewhat 'crippled' for many use cases without this.

Loving every other thing about this app though. Thanks.

Congratulations for the new update it looks awesome

But I have a problem with the new photo chooser in the new update when I try to access a photo from my iPad photo library

As now it's only limited to see the albums that created on the IPad so I can't pick a photo I synced from my pc any more.

Please fix this

As it was working fine in the old version

Now it's like a downgrade for the photo chooser only

Best regards

Tamer Habib,

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

I think this similar question and reply in the beta forum explains that it was an oversight, and this will be coming back in the next release, sorry.

I am having a few freezes with the newest update. I have not narrowed it down to any one thing I'm working on when the freeze happens. I am also having trouble getting a photo to appear when I use place. Sometimes one appears and sometimes it won't.

Absolutely delighted with Photo for iPad Pro. In fact, this was one of the reasons I purchased the iPad Pro (10.5"). Learning fast, and awestruck by the implementation for iPad, and all the gestures etc. The program is so versatile, and for me, potentially able to replace both DxO Pro, and Photoshop (elements) on the pc. I agree with a previous post that it would be good if I could load multiple files for processing, or even retain for further use (e.g. In a collage) photos already processed, but not saved.

I am working with ios11 beta. So it would be nice to support the new image type HEIC to import those images from photo app.

The possibility of HEIC support is discussed in this thread.
