Status: Beta Release

Purpose: Fixes, improvements, new features.
Requirements: TestFlight Acceptance.
Mac App Store: Released

Hi Guys,

The fifth (and hopefully last) beta of 1.6.3 has been deployed on TestFlight. The changes are detailed below.

You can download the App Store version at any time to stop using the beta - and download the TestFlight build at any time to go back to the beta.

As this build is going to the App Store soon, we would like to take this opportunity to say a massive "Thanks!" to everyone who has taken the time to be a part of this beta so far - we genuinely could not do this without you..

That said, we are not done :) 1.6.3 will go to the App Store, probably tomorrow - but we will be back in beta within a week. For the next 1.6.4 release, we are hoping to add Macros, non-destructive RAW support, improved Adjustment / Filter UI, improved compositing performance, full iOS11 support and much, much more. We hope you guys will stick around for that ride :)

Thanks once again for your help..

Has anyone mentioned the interactive tutorials yet?

I mean, they are really awesome, I think/ hope they help many people and they do not even need to come to this forum because

based on how nice it is I would have expected much more positiv feedback about it in the forum :)

Cheers

Hey Andy,

Working on the next composite, although it feels a lot more stable and no crashes, so far. I still face some similar issues.

When I click refine after my selection, there is no progress bar. The blue outline in the 2nd image is the space shuttle, it just moved a few seconds later. Multiple layers, cut-outs and effects seems to make it really slow....

Issue since 1.6.2, present in this beta:

Whenever using two-finger panning, the marquee/marching ants would sporadically disappear.
Zooming in/out would restore it.

See attached video.

##Update##

It's the case when using the Pen tool as well.

Also,

When converting a curve to a selection, if the curve has been hidden in the layers panel, it doesn't produce a selection at all!

I doubt this is the intended behaviour.

What does "Run in native resolution on iPad Pro 10.5” device" mean exactly?

What is the solution now, what was it before?

Previously it was scaling the 9.7" screen resolution up to fill the 10.5" screen resolution.

Now, we should have a slightly clearer/finer UI and more space in the edit viewport to work on an image i.e. you will see a little bit more of an image at the same zoom level when working on it.
