Kiarian
I've just done a fresh Windows install, and forgot to keep the downloaded macros that I saved, for both Affinity Photo & Design, when you install them for the first time. It's not allowing me to re-download them. Is there any way I can get them?I thought maybe they would be in my library, but I'm guessing after a fresh C Drive install, everything is now at a default setting.Only purchased Photo & Designer a few days ago, so the answer may be obvious. Thanks in advance,Kiarian
cdaerr
Hello Kiarian, did you try logging into your Affinty Account: https://affinity.store/de/sign-in/ Kind regards
Staff MEB Posted July 5, 2017 Staff Share Posted July 5, 2017 Hi Klarian, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You should have received an e-mail titled Affinity order confirmation - XXXXXXX after your purchase (do a search for it in your e-mail account). That e-mail contains a green button labelled "Get Macro Pack" which links to a page from where you can download it again. Alfred
There's a download link in John Hoy's post here. I don't know why there isn't a permanent link in a prominent place on the Affinity site, since the macros are useless to anyone who doesn't own a copy of Affinity Photo. Staff MEB Posted July 5, 2017 Staff Share Posted July 5, 2017 Because people using pirated versions may also take advantage of them? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference
Alfred
Even before that link was made available, people using pirated versions could have found them easily enough. Maybe it's just me, but I think the piracy itself is a much bigger worry than the possibility that a few of those people might help themselves to a resource that's freely available to all legitimate users. Staff MEB Posted July 5, 2017 Staff Share Posted July 5, 2017 I didn't say it wasn't a bigger issue but does that justify making things even easier for them that it needs to be? Pennymaker
Ok, dumb question, but is there any way to get ahold of the macros if you've deleted that email like, a zillion years ago, and can no longer find it...
Staff MEB Posted February 20, 2018 Staff Share Posted February 20, 2018 Hi Pennymaker, Go to the Welcome Screen (menu Help ▸ Welcome). One of the pages of the horizontal scroller has a link to claim the Free Macro Pack. Click on it to be redirected to a page on the Affinity Store. Login to your account to download them again or create an account if you don't have one already.
