The Bearded Bird
Hi! Im designing an app on affinity for work. And the app is a health app that is supposed to be easy to use for everyone. But because of this app I am no trying to make the app color blind friendly as well.SO... I started to think that there should be a view mode (like Outline, vector, pixel) for different color blinds. This would help me and most likely a lot of UI designers out there :) Keep kicking ass and chew bubble gum ;) Quote The Bearded Bird Tor Vegard Graphic design • UI / UX • Branding • Logo Design

emmrecs01
the sounds like a person with really bad hearing to compose music But Beethoven was profoundly deaf for the greater part of his "composing" life. :D :D (Sorry, couldn't resist). My1
well he wasnt born deaf so, he did have the ability to remember stuff. and well if you are born colorblind, designer isnt the best job and if you werent you should still be able to remember how blue looks when designing and stuff, with the rgc sliders giving you the ability to directly pinpoint a color, also there are probably enough system-wide color blind tools. rubs
A good friend of mine is a great graphics design professional and a respected professor. And he's color blind. So it's possible, yes.
MikeW
Look up Color Oracle. It's a system-wide monitor color filter. I don't know what color blindness spectrums it covers. I do know Eizo makes a monitor for this and suspect you can obtain ready made icc profiles. These could the be used as soft proofing layers in Affinity products. I only know what quick Google search produced.
BatteriesInc
There's also the non-trivial fact that design is more than just colour ;) I have a father whose colourblindness borders on the spectacular, but in one of nature's weird games I am the opposite: I can detect colour differences of 2..3 MacAdam (more close to 3 now as I no longer work in a profession where I use this on a daily basis). And, as you may have seen from my questions, I am *definitely* not a professional designer :P Quote Regards, Binc Warning: dark, twisted sense of humour. Do not feed after midnight.
