Nikos
I spent a lot of time of time trying to get a selected area of my image out of Affinity Photo. With no luck. It seems "copy" only works within Photo and is not compatible with the iOS pasteboard. So, how do I export only part of my image? Either a selection or a layer? Do I have to delete everything else first? Apparently, this is an ugly hack.
WuWu
foreword: shame Photo iPad cannot directly work with iOS clipboard, to either Paste/Place from IOS clipboard nor to Copy [selection] to iOS clipboard [as some other iPad apps copy/cut/paste to proprietary AND iOS-compatible formats]. SOLUTION... The current long route: Document > Export select output format under Area: select Selection without/with background [any other setting you want to change] Share > Save image or Copy
Scungio
If you want a specific layer, just uncheck the visibility of the other layers in the Layers Studio and then export out. In terms of using the iOS pasteboard, I don't know if Serif has that implemented yet.
rpaul
Is there any more written about this issue? It just seems odd to me that 'copying to' and 'pasting from' the standard OS clipboard isn't one of the first orders of business in developing graphics software.
