AD, User-Defined shift-Rotate Snap Degrees

Recommended Posts

I'd really love to be a able to define how shift rotate snaps.

ie if i could choose other integers than just 15deg or rotating to the decimal point or having to type it.,

or at least please make the shift-rotate per 5deg or smth cause the 15deg feels like a huge handicap for me.

if there's a solution and i just havent figured it out please someone let me know

thanks to anyone that read this :) be well all.

Hey Liakos,

Turns out you can do that if you know the catch! "if i could choose other integers than just 15deg or rotating to the decimal point or having to type it.," Here is how;

  1. Select shape you want to ratate
  2. In the context menu bar, define the point from where it should rotate (Pivot) by selecting show rotating centre and moving it to the appropriate position.
  3. Make a duplicate of the shape you wish repeatedly transform or rotate in our case, please note you kinda have to use control/command J to duplicate as opposed to copy and paste;)
  4. Select the duplicate copy and hold down the shift key, rotate to say 15 degrees. In the transform panel you will notice the rotation menu has changed to the angle you have rotated. Change this angle to the specific angle you wish to and hit enter.
  5. Use control/command J to repeat the transform.
  6. That should do the the trick!

Alternatively, rotate to 15 degrees and group those objects, make a copy and rotate to zero then finally to 10 degrees. There you have it.

I hope this helps and keep going!
