Import from ICloud "Locations" option not there

Hi Dek1955,

Welcome to the forum.

Once you have selected Import from Cloud, can you take a screenshot. Also who makes the MyCloud app, it may depend if it's been written to offer the option for other apps to read/write to it.

The MyCloud app is made by Western Digital, I'm using their MyPassport wireless drive. Within the MyCloud app I am able to import into Photo however I can't see the drive as mention within Photo.

Attached is a screenshot as requested.

Hi Dek1955,

You can open/import files using the "Open in.." command from the Western Digital "My Cloud" app, however as far as I know, there's no way to save directly to the MyCloud app/external drive. This is something iOS doesn't support directly. We rely on iOS and the cloud apps/API to provide access/save to folders managed by these apps. Hopefully things will improve here with iOS 11. Have you tried to tap the Share button and save the file from there? I'm not sure if this is possible (probably not).

Ok well I guess I'll just have to sit tight and see next version of iOS has to offer. I really need to be able to import my photos from my master storage drive like I do with the desktop version of Photo. It's really odd that I can import a photo into Affinity Photo from the MyCloud app but can't acces the drive from Photo. I've attached a screen shot below showing this.

Thanks for your input.

Just to clarify I can save a file to the MyCloud drive from Photo using the Share button. The problem is I can't import a photo into Photo using the Photo app from the drive. Seems odd that I can save a file to the drive however I can't import a file from the drive using Photo.
