Aperture_Hour
I just purchased an iPad Pro and the affinity app and I'm loving it so far. I have one issue so far that I can't find a resolution for. My workflow for skin softening is a high pass filter at about 18 pixels, and then I invert the layer, apply Gaussian blue, switch blend mode to linear light and do a layer mask… How do I invert the layer with the high pass filter in the app? Staff Lee D Posted June 24, 2017 Staff Share Posted June 24, 2017 Invert is located in the Adjustment Studio, when added you may need to move the adjustment layer to the High pass one.

mikemcsharry
I think I'm missing something.. I'm trying a fairly simple task - blurring out a few faces on photo I've taken with the ipad.. In affinitiy on ipad I add the photo then apply the gaussian blur filter. My intention is to select the filter layer, invert it, then draw over with a white pen - thats exactly what I do on the mac version and it works fine. The problem on the ipad is that I can't see the blur filter in the layers studio. if I add black and white from the adjustments option I can see that layer in the layers studio then pick on the channels - three buttons and invert etc., this facility doesn't seem to happen for the blur live filter. the ipad is a mpgt2b/a (which is a fairly new 9.7" ipad)
Staff Lee D Posted January 3, 2018 Staff Share Posted January 3, 2018 Hi mikemcsharry, When you are applying the Gaussian Blur, click the icon on the toolbar at the bottom to convert it to a Live Filter, you'll then have reference to it in the Layers Studio. mikemcsharry
Hi Lee Thank you - I work with an infant school who have affinity on one of their new iPads - I'm making them a video on how to do just this .. photo of kids and blur just one or two faces - some children mustn't be shown on line. Brilliant response - thank you
