Digbydo
I want to start off with a 'pixel layer' and then add some text to it & finally save as a png file. I've clicked on the pixel layer icon several times but nothing appears. How can I achieve this?
Staff MEB Posted June 23, 2017 Staff Share Posted June 23, 2017 Hi Digbydo, Which program are you using Designer or Photo? and on which platform (Mac/Windows or iPad)? You don't have to create a pixel layer for this. Just create a new document with the dimensions you want, set the background to Transparent (if needed) still in the Document Setup dialog, press OK then select the text tool and type what you want. Finally export as PNG. When you click the Pixel layer icon it should create an empty pixel layer in the Layers panel. Isn't this working for you? Can you attach a screenshot of the application window with the Layers panel visible? Bri-Toon
Yes, a pixel layer and text layer are two separate layer types unless you merge them or export them as a PNG. But you said the pixel layer icon isn't working? Is it perhaps being nested under a vector layer (Designer) or group layer (Photo)? If you expand the nested layer and then create a pixel layer, do you see a difference then? Quote The website is still a work in progress. The "Comics" and "Shop" sections are not yet ready.
