dv8.info
It would be good to be able to directly scan into Affinity Photo
John Rostron
The reason given for not supporting this is that the current scanner software is typically 32-bit and Affinity is 64-bit. Until this is resolved, the best workaround is to use the software from your scanner (or a third-party alternative) and ensure that when you save the image, then it is in a format that will use Affinity Photo as its default program. Then, when you save a file from the scanner software, it will automatically open in Affinity. It's more of a platform issue than anything else. I'm assuming you are on Windows so we will add scanning when the platform can support scanning on 64bit applications. Can I ask what's wrong with the scanner manufacturer's software? Can you not scan with that, then import into Photo?

They are scanning fine on Windows. Sorry, but I cannot understand the problem here. But Im not a programmer. anon1

When I scan using VueScan and saving as jpeg, and with Affinity Photo open, the image opens automatically in Photo. Not quite all-in-one, but pretty close. The same would happen if I saved as tiff.
