Exporting vector paths as SVG results in rasterization.

Recommended Posts

The attached image is made of simple strokes and results in a raster when exported as an SVG (raster inside SVG).

I've even tried to expand the strokes and then export. Even then, with no brush used, it results in a raster.

I've play with PDF and EPS too. I can't seem to get this graphic out as a vector.

Suggestions?

Cheers.

Hi possiblerobot (great name!)

I can't see your file - the process to attach things is a bit crazy on this forum (imho) that you have to browse for your file, tell it to upload it then tell it to add into your post!

First things I will say to check are... Do you have a blend mode that's unsupported, a layer effect, or some kind of transparency on the item in question? They're usually good reasons that things can't go out as vectors to some formats. The other thing I'd suggest is, it's always a good idea to try out the latest beta version (available in the first thread in the beta forums here) as that contains many fixes that aren't in the Mac App Store version yet.

Thanks in advance,

Matt
