Jencarter Posted June 21, 2017 Author Share Posted June 21, 2017 Hi, thanks for replying. I'm not sure what you mean by type of photo? I am editing one of my photographs (high res). I have been selecting areas of my image and then duplicating them, then merging them down. Each time I do the merge down, the quality decreases. dmstraker Posted June 21, 2017 Share Posted June 21, 2017 When you select a part of an image, you are choosing less pixels so by definition you have lower resolution overall - could it be something to do with this?
