toggle between pen and node on ipad

Recommended Posts

Is there anyway to toggle between the pen and node tool when using the pen on the ipad? I use this feature all the time in PS by pressing modifier keys while drawing a path and the pen switches to node and when I release the key it goes back to the pen. It is very quick and I use it daily. I was hoping that there might be a way to do this on the Ipad version of Photo.

So far loving the ipad version, but am getting used to interface.

Thanks!

Hi wsg7562,

There is no way to do this at the moment I'm afraid I'd recommend making a post about this in the iPad section of our Feature Requests category.

Thanks

Callum

Thanks for the info, Callum. Let me ask you one other related question. When you do choose a point with the node tool, is there a way to only adjust one Bezier control handles? It seems the if I adjust one handle the other adjusts as well. It is very thought to draw an accurate mask if you can't adjust one handle at a time.

Thanks again for answering my first question.

Drag the handle with one finger, than tap and hold with another finger somewhere else and continue to drag the handle - it will now move separately from the second handle and create a corner with two handles instead of a curve. Same works while drawing a path: tap and drag to create a corner with handles, tap and hold with a second finger somewhere else, continue to drag the handle in the desired direction.

However, this doesn't seem to work when using the Apple Pencil. When drawing a path (or dragging a handle) with the pencil, tap and hold with a finger will not lock one handle - I hope this is a bug and will be fixed in a future release.
