Scuba Montserrat Posted June 15, 2017 Share Posted June 15, 2017 Hi,I've been using Pixelmator to mix our logo with photos. Worked well but also had a few limits for what I wanted to do. That said, I'm not a graphic design person (actually have a dive shop) but liked the ability to add text and change photos. It would be cool to do more and design basic logos. tanujboy Posted June 16, 2017 Share Posted June 16, 2017 Both the Photo and Designer are very easy to use. You just have to understand the working of the tools in these software. As @Callum said, download the trial, watch the official tutorial videos from the staff and give it a shot. I'm sure you'll like it more and more as you use it. Yes, it's quite easy to use and there is lots of scope to do very sophisticated work if you decide to learn more as you go along. You might need a bit of help time to time as you get started but there are plenty of people on this forum to help you. Scuba Montserrat 1 Quote Windows PCs. Just an estimate, but I think Designer has at least twice as many features, probably more. I find Designer interface to be easier to use. For layout, Designer's vector tools are more versatile. There are wide variety of user customizable grids, many built in variable shapes, and extensive snapping options make forming and arranging objects really easy. More to learn, but most of it is easy to pick up. And tho' it is not a dedicated paint program, it is quite good.
