3D Imported Excel Charts - rough edges

Recommended Posts

I am trying to copy/paste charts from Excel into a Affinitiy Designer doc so that I can publish a single page with multiple charts on a single page. But when I try and paste 3D charts over from Excel into AD, the edges and background lines are not clear and crisp as they are in Excel. When I paste non-3D charts they come out perfectly.

I looked to see if there are different options for pasting in AD and I see the Paste Special option that allows a few different options but none of them seem to make it any better.

I have attached an example of a couple charts - a 3D chart and a non-3D chart - in AD to show the difference.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi Geodan06,

Because the 1st chart has 3D effects on it its being rasterised when it is imported thats why it reads as "image" in the Layers tab(see screenshot 1). With the second graph there aren't any 3D effects so the chart stays as vector which is why it reads as "curves"(see screenshot 2) Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done with this as it is an effect that is unsupported.

Thanks

C
