separate windows

Recommended Posts

Hello

would it be possible to have a separate windows mode but keeping all the rest of the tools and nice dark grey background present in the back and keeping those two separate windows separate but inside this dark grey area.

Thanks this would be a very useful option i think.

Also being able to save various layout to be able to accommodate our tools according to the available space and monitor.

Best Regards.

Hi trksnoos,

This is already possible in the Windows version - just drag the document tabs to the middle of the screen to detach them. On the Mac the closest you get is using the Separated mode (menu Window ▸ Separated Mode) but you will lose the interface layout & background. Which version are you using?

Hi ,Im on a mac

When I am working, I usually put a second window in smaller size to see how things look without the need to zoom out all the time. Will this be possible anytime soon or at all for AP?

Thanks

View > New View will create a new view of the same document that you can keep zoomed to any size you want

Updates to either view shows up immediately in the other view.

If you have 2 monitors you can even move one view to your second screen.

(Works on Windows, that Mac stuff may do things differently)

Hi IsabelAracama,

As carl123 pointed out you can create new views, going to menu View ▸ New View. On the Mac you also have to go (enable) to menu Window ▸ Separated Mode to be able too place the view windows side-by-side.
