JevoUK
I would like to be able to center align one object to a second object in the second objects position. If you get my drift I have a video of what I mean but can't post it using my phone. Adrian
Staff Ben Posted January 16, 2015 Staff Share Posted January 16, 2015 Use the Arrange dropdown from the context toolbar. If you select two or more objects you can align them to any edge of the selection. We have files that have cutting paths on them and we need to align artwork with bleed to the cutting file that we then send to a large format printer for printing, we use the cutting file for the cnc to cut out the printed work. Here is the video of what I mean. Adrian Screen Recording 4b.mov
Staff MEB Posted January 16, 2015 Staff Share Posted January 16, 2015 You can't use the Arranje feature to align one object using another as reference yet, but in this case you can use the snapping (see View -> Snapping Manager... options) to align the objects precisely. Dale
How about changing how Arrange functions work in combo with locked objects in future to achieve this? Lock the cutting path object, select it and the designed object group, centre-align horizontally and vertically; the filled object group moves directly over the static cutting path.
