paulory
Hi guys, I'm having trouble to find a way to fit an image to another's perspective. In photoshop I use the free transform tool. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find something similar here on the iPad. The closest to it is the Shear/Rotation, but that's not flexible enough for my needs. Can anyone please help me? Thank you Gauncer
jhoy
Hi paulory There is a mesh warp and perspective tools under the filters section which may help you with this project. João Vítor Martins, Nityanandachandra, brebro and 5 others 6

ReDJstone
I still dont know where i can find it, im trying to add a shadow to an item i placed to make it look real and i would say that i can do it with the distort option but i still dont know where to find it on the ipad, and by the way, if you could tell me some ways to add a realistic shadow better than distorting a black image i would be very grateful, here are the images of the item, the bed i placed it on, and the item photoshopped on the bed without a shadow. Where is the distort option and what ways are here to make a realistic shadow for this item on the ipad? Thanks!
SlichoArt
Select the cube layer, go to fx, turn on outer shadow, click on it (ios app version) play around with settings below, you can add shadow, lighten/darker it, choose shadow colour and blending mode and add a blur. If you don't want it to be fixed on to the original cube (so a separate shadow layer) copy cube, make selection of cube, add new pixel layer and paint the selection in your shadow colour, you can later distort, deform, use perspective and blur fx to make it a fit. Josie
How do I transform a photo using the iPad? Having a heck of a time finding it or trying to do it?
Josie
Is there a transform tool in affinity photo or designer using the iPad? I can’t find it anywhere.

I ran into the same issue. Perspective/Warp works great on the desktop version but is a little lacking in the iPad version. The closest I could find is going up to the liquify profile but the problem with this is I that all selections offered for transforming do not create a unified aspect. So it will pinch and distort but not the entire side of an object, just the area directly surrounding the ‘cursor’ or your pencil. Still, it’s better than nothing I guess. I ended up just moving over to the desktop for this. Good luck!

ZufDraw
There is an omission combination of the perspective/warp tool. Look at the image below. This was a simple 2d grid that I put in perpspective and lifted one corner. This is done in PS in two steps but is nearly impossible in AP. In photoshop you can freely transform the 2d grid image (free transform) into the perspective, then, without applying, you can step to mesh warp. That mesh warp is now aligned to the perspective grid! Meaning the mesh warp points are on all four corners in the 3d grid. Now wou only need to lift one corner. In AP perspective and warp are completely separate. As soon as I want to go to mesh warp, the perspective warp needs to be applied. Now the mesh warp starts in 2d view again meaning its impossible to warp the (already in 3d) grid. I can use the warp tool from the start but that's really cumbersome. So what is needed here is a warp tool that can follow up on the perspective tool without a 'reset' of the selection in between. Hi, this thread is even older now, but I still do not find a tool or filter to transform on my iPad. Nobody here seems to have a problem with this, so I must be blind. (Not the first time in my life!) I would appreciate a lot if someone could tell me, where on earth (sorry, but I am searching for an hour now) I find a tool to distort a pixel image in Photo on my iPad. I see it on the desktop version, but I can’t flip always while drawing ... THANK YOU! EDIT: Found it. Didn’t expected it under hundreds of Filters and an icon that looks like an hourglass. There you will see the perspective and mesh filters. You need to select your pixel layer, if you don’t have one do a merge visible to create a pixel layer representing your work so far. Now tap the LIVE PERSPECTIVE filter and you will see the 4 corner nodes, try selecting a node and dragging it. Quick search found this which may help. On reflection he should have used the LIVE filter version of the perspective filter. Nedde 1 Quote My dad always told me, a bad workman always blames their tools…. Just waiting for Ronny Pickering….. Affinity blew the cobwebs off them and completely simplified the workflow. The fact that all adjustments and live filters are their own mask is a game changer but catches PS Pro’s out trying to add unnecessary extra masks !
