John Rostron Posted June 8, 2017 Share Posted June 8, 2017 Are you looking for scanning software? If so, the first place to look is at the software that comes with the scanner. This is typically free. Otherwise, try VueScan (www.hamrick.com). This is available as a free trial and works with a range of flatbed and film scanners on Windows or Macs. The cost will spend on whether you need the extras. I needed the Pro version to use it with my film scanner. You could also look at Silverfast (www.silverfast.com). The software is more expensive and will only work with a single scanner. When using either of these in Windows, I set it to save the image as Tiff. I have AP as the default program to open Tiffs, so after saving, it automatically opens in AP.
