Saving my work fails many times

Recommended Posts

2 Days ago , i worked on one of my images. My Workflow is Raw-Editing in Capture One Pro 10.1 and then ... edit with -> Affinity to have a round-trip photo editing between my DAM and Affinity Photo (1.5.X...latest Version). I did editing with multiple layers and flattened ... in between the work i allways pressed Ctrl-S to save the work (TIF).

Big Surprise ... it did not save anything (latest save was the creation of the TIF). As i thought it might be a coincidence. I started my work from a new TIF (from C1) again. And the same thing happened again.

When using The Beta 1.6.X it saved my work correct.

Anyone who can tell same in 1.5.X Versions ?

AP 1.5.1 / 1.6.x.x BETA , C1 , Lenovo W541 , Wacom Intuos Pro (S / M (new))

Hey abphoto,

I downloaded the trial of Capture One and attempted to follow you as closely as I can but it seems to be saving correctly for me.

This is what I did:

  1. Opened a raw in Capture One
  2. Edited it in Capture One
  3. File > Edit With > Affinity Photo (release)
  4. Added some Adjustments and painted over certain areas
  5. Merged the layers
  6. Ctrl+S
  7. Affinity asked me if I wanted to save with layers or as a new file > I chose with layers
  8. Capture One now displayed a new file in its gallery
  9. I went to File >  Open Recent in Affinity and the edited file was there

Have I missed something or gone wrong at some point?
