Kalyori
Hi, I'm looking at using Affinity for web design. I have Adobe InDesign & Illustrator CC 2017, however neither of them are exactly what I want. InDesign has great columns but lacks symbols, and Illustrator has symbols but lacks columns. I was hoping Affinity would have both. I checked the roadmap and saw that this isn't on the list. Has anyone heard if the developers intend to implement such a feature in the near future... and how are others dealing with this issue...? Staff MEB Posted June 5, 2017 Staff Share Posted June 5, 2017 Hi Kalyori, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Affinity Designer doesn't support columns, but it has grids, snapping, constraints, symbols and if you use some of the templates available here (for Bootstrap, 960gs etc) or in the Resources section in this forum it should be able to fulfil your needs for web design. There should also be improvements to the grids in the future to provide greater flexibility for all types of projects. stokerg 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Kalyori
Hi MEB, Thanks for your reply. I see, I see. That's good to know. I don't know what your plans are for grids in the future, but I think it'd be very useful if we could save presets and quickly switch between them. Cheers, Kalyori
