[Affinity Designer] Import / Open Sketch files.

Recommended Posts

I would love to see this too. The file format in the latest version of Sketch uses JSON and can be opened and read by anybody. This is a game changer as far as front end design / development is concerned. 3rd party programs or even task runners such as GULP and GRUNT can now read Sketch files and convert them to CSS.

I'll be totally honest here as a Front End Developer this could make me switch over not just to Sketch but it could keep me using a Mac.

yes, this would really be appreciated...

I would go so far to say, that there would nothing be wrong, with affinity Designer if  it would have an 'X' or 'Prototyper' "PERSONA"
in which you can place links on buttons etc to the next page(s) for presenting them later on PLUS CSS output.
You should really take a good look at "Lunacy App" from "Icons8"

BTW... there seems to be a bug in your input field on this website... since, sometimes the cursor seems to flip to some other position totally random.
(just in case you think or ask:
nah... no touchpad
and no mouse isnt even near....)

This post is older.. BUT, if someone lands here and you have access to Sketch, you can just:

1) Open the sketch file (in Sketch)
2) select the art board and copy it (CMD+C)
3) open affinity designer
4) In the menu, Select: File => New from clipboard
5) Rejoice.
