Affinity Designer Quit Unexpectedly

Recommended Posts

Hi.

We bought and installed Affinity Designer from the Mac App Store.

Whenever we try to Export a file from Affinity Designer (1.5.5), the program immediately crashes with the "Affinity Designer Quit Unexpectedly" message. We are using OS Sierra 10.12.5 (the most recent).

We look at this post, but the dropbox file is not available anymore.

We really need to be able to export.

regards

Julie

Hi Julie and Welcome to the Affinity forums,

Does this happen with every image you try to export?

I've created a Dropbox link so you can upload your .afdesign file or image that is crashing when you are exporting and i will see if i get the same crash and what the issue could be.

Hi Isa,

Thanks for the file.

I've just exported it without issue to JPG and PDF.  I was missing a couple of the fonts but no other problems with the export, i've attached the JPG i was able to create.

Where abouts are you trying to export to on the Mac.  I'd suggest doing a test export to say the Desktop and see if it completes.

Hi, we have the copy of the error script when Affinity quit.

In sequence:

We open the file.

We choose from the file menu - Export

The Export window tries to display... and the application quit inexpectedly.

The Export widow does not show completely.

Can we send you the text file?
