Gear maker
There are two tools in the toolbar that I haven't figured out what they do "Synchronize defaults to the current selection" and "Reset document defaults". I'm not finding these mentioned in the AD Help screen. Is there anything that explains the function of these tools? What are they for? peter
I thought the same thing as well about this and the three insert target modes buttons on the right side of the toolbar. Staff MEB Posted January 12, 2015 Staff Share Posted January 12, 2015 @Gear Maker Synchronize defaults to the current selection will pick the attributes of a selected object (the fill, stroke) on the canvas and make them the new defaults. Reset document defaults will reset those attributes to factory settings again (grey fill and stroke set to no style). @peter The three buttons on the right of the interface are for defining where you want to insert the next object you draw: Insert behind the selection will create you new object behind the currently selected object; Insert at the top of the layer will create your new object on the top of the layer of the currently selected object; Insert inside the selection will create your new object inside the currently selected object. It's the same as dragging an object over the other in the layers panel (clipping). Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
