Jim Monson
Is there any way to change the color that reveals the path of a curve? In checking thousands of river beds on a map in AD I would like to visually see what is selected when using the move tool. The node tool, of course, shows this but this gets crowded. The only solution I have found is to change the colour of the path to some colour other than blue so that the thin blue line along the selected path show up. However, it would be nice to be able to change this default blue to a red. I think I saw this option once but perhaps not.
Staff Callum Posted May 25, 2017 Staff Share Posted May 25, 2017 Hi Jim, Its not possible to change the selection colour of paths I'm afraid. You can change the selection colour of most other things in the apps by going to System Preferences > General > HighLight Colour. Thanks Callum Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
JimmyJack
You can put stuff in layers. Right click the layer in the list > go to properties at the bottom.... and change the color there. Everything in the layer will use that color. Alfred
Jim Monson
This works well on individual layers, JimmyJack, but not on a group of layers or layers above sub-layers. I believe this was I R Baboon's point. However, having this option on any specific layer (without sub-layers below it) is very helpful. Many thanks! R C-R
Hey Jim: just so you know, "I R Baboon" is the tongue-in-cheek member title of Callum, similar to your "Advanced Member" one. Not a big deal but if you need to search for his posts, send him a PM, or view his profile, Callum is what you should use. Just to add to the confusion, Callum also uses used to use "I R Baboon" as his signature. Jim Monson
Thanks, folks! I hesitated using it and had no idea what was going on. Almost as cryptic as my hiding behind an inverted stretto in measure 52 of Bach's D# minor fugue in Wohltemperierte Klavier I ... one of my favorites. Boldlinedesign
Is there still not a main solution for this issue?
Raptor Swire
Adding to sub-layers helps and seems to be a temporary solution, but why isn't there this setting simply in the selected layer?? That "Properties..." button in selected Layer literally has only one option in it: Change color. Feature seems unfinished. Workflow that would make much more sense: right-click any curve in the Layers tab -> dropdown menu has option "Change curve color" -> select color from some default basic colors or make your own on the color wheel.
