[FIXED] Constrain node tangent not working ADB 1.6

Recommended Posts

Hi MEB, thanks.

In the mind time, do you have any trick that I can use to make constrain lines?

My main job I do technical docs and that kind of lines are basic for me. I know I can use the MÁS versión but I would like to use the new 1.6 features jeje

There is a bug in the 1.6 beta - somehow the key for constraining got changed to Cmd.  It should be Shift.

Hi Ben,

Pressing Cmd it doesn't work also.

I have discover that the bug only affects to 1 of the Pen modes. The other 3 are working fine.

See the picture.

Thanks, hope Beta 2 comes early, I like so much the new features of 1.6 update.

P.S. Also I have discovered that create new document doesn't work with MACOS HIGH SIERRA 10.13. I believe that is normal with first beta.

No - it won't work, because Cmd switches to the Node tool.  If you start dragging out a node, pressing Cmd after will start to constrain the handle angle.

It's wrong - and it's getting fixed back to Shift.

Incidentally, I've made a few improvements to constraining in the Pen and Node tools, but they didn't quite make 1.6 Beta.

Herojas93, a possible work around is to have the first Snap icon selected "Align to nodes of selected curves".  Then in the pen tool it will snap to at least the horizontal and vertical orientation when drawing lines.
