[Fixed] [AD] Help production file crashing on resizing Artboard

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

i have a bug on a large (weight less 1mb but has 9 artboards and lost of objects) document that used Symbols, it crashes on resize.

I tried to delete symbols, ungroup everything, and isolate pages on different document but it crashes every time.

Can someone in Serif team provide me a Dropbox link so you can take a look at it?

It's a production document i'm working on and my customer is waiting for me to make changes so it kind of urgent :/ .

Thanks !

Hey Bento,

I've spent so long on this but I cannot get the original document to not crash when moving, deleting or adjusting elements in the file. I have submitted it to development for them to look into. For now, your best bet might be to export the ELEMENTS artboard to PDF and import it back in. I've done it and the document seems to be okay with no obvious damage or changes.

I'm so sorry this has affected you but this workaround will hopefully allow you to continue until we can get this fixed to stop it happening again.

Hey thinking about it, you should give to people like me, a special status like "bug_finder" "beta_tester" "dev_nemesis" :D

Haaa better joking than crying right ;)

We are predicting readiness in early November. Recent issues with Metal in the release build of High Sierra have put this back by a week or two, as we were saying October but that seems unlikely now.

No, to be honest I am probably not meant to have said either (shhhhh....). Considering how open we are as a company this is not an exception to the rule, it's just that if something major gets discovered we move the release date. But if we say something about in public about a definitive date, some people want to hold us to it and get upset when we say we need more time.
