AD Library issues with light UI

Recommended Posts

I tried to add new objects to the asset library using the  new light UI (W10 version)

1: The category and subcategory font were black on black  (i.e. invisible) with no obvious way to change that

2: Also discovered that any library items already loaded in the live version would have to be reloaded from scratch. This is time consuming and irritating. One might hope that when the final 1.6 version is released, it will automatically load features from library already loaded to 1.5.

Otherwise, keep up the good work!

1. Confirmed. Well, not quite black on black, but very dark grey (#0D0D0D) on slightly lighter grey (#2B2B2B) and consequently almost invisible.

2. You can copy the 'user' subfolder from the folder

%AppData%\Affinity\Designer\1.0\user

to the folder

%AppData%\Affinity\Designer\1.0 (Beta)\user

but you might want to back up the existing contents first so that you can revert easily.

Hi GrahamMYC,

Thanks for your report. Regarding the second point this is by design. The Beta and the Retail versions are independent from each other so they don't share any settings/user files. Affinity Designer 1.6 (Retail) should keep the settings/user files from version 1.5 (Retail).
