Is it likely that Affinity will produce a linear gradient that can follow a path? What I'm thinking of in particular is using a gradient to shade a curved tube or rod/wire.

How do you adjust a gradient applied to a line?

Hi MEB,

I think you missed my question about adjusting gradients on a line.

Oops. I really missed it. Sorry.

Here's how to do it:

- select the line and go to the gradient tool

- in the context toolbar change the Context drop down to Stroke and select the type of gradient you want to apply in the Type drop down

- then drag over the line on the canvas to apply the gradient and display the control nodes.

- from here it works exactly like gradient fills - there's a color button on the context toolbar with the usual options to customise your gradient.
