Random selection in Affinity Designer

Hello,

 

I have about 1,000 curves and want to select some randomly so that I can group and then colour them. Is this possible as currently, I am just scrolling through the layers panel and randomly clicking?

There isn't one, which is why Alex ('A_B_C') referred to what it "would do"; i.e. if it existed.

 

If the layer order doesn't matter, you might be able do something with the help of a random number generator (determining how the layers should be shuffled, and optionally determining how many layers should be assigned to each colour group) but I wouldn't want to do that with 100 layers, let alone 1000.

Also be aware that grouping random layers will reorder them, which could change how your document looks considerably.
