I bought Photo and Designer thinking that sort of operation is Standard in a Software that wants to challenge Adobe. Very disappointing. The feature list says "Convert shapes to selections" but doesn't mention the other way around. Does it exist? Surely it does, six years after this thread started? Surprisingly it sort of "does" for quite a few years already, albeit via Publisher only, and it's very "crude". The selection by colour was really accurate when I used it, I would have thought converting the selection area into a path would be the easier of the two parts. Anyway, wait I shall.
