MikeDuf
Hey I am looking foward to buy affinity designer and photo. I would like to know more about the workbook. What version was used while writting the book? And will it be out of date soon? I learn pretty fast and usually by myself but the book look good and it made me curious about it. And i'm sure I'm gonna learn a few things I wouldn't have found before a while! Thanks! Quote Windows 10, Affinity Designer + Photo (Graphic Design, photo-editing). Staff MEB Posted May 2, 2017 Staff Share Posted May 2, 2017 Hi MikeDuf, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) The workbook covers Affinity Designer 1.5. There will be new features in v1.6 but the info provided in the book should remain current (with minor differences here and there) regarding the subjects/workflows covered. Staff MEB Posted May 3, 2017 Staff Share Posted May 3, 2017 Hi MikeDuf, No, sorry. You must purchase them separately. There may be a discount on 1.6 launch judging from past experience but it's not guaranteed. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
MikeDuf
As far as I'd like to wait and see I really want to keep my affinity softwares actives so I might grab both affinity and wait for a discount on the book. Thanks! Quote Windows 10, Affinity Designer + Photo (Graphic Design, photo-editing).
emmrecs01
I might grab both affinity and wait for a discount on the book. Thanks! I think you might be unlucky on the discount for the book! When it was first released, the latter part of last year, it was available to buy at a discount but I believe that "offer" has now ended, sorry. Staff MEB Posted May 3, 2017 Staff Share Posted May 3, 2017 Hi MikeDuf, Just a note to add that the discount i mentioned was indeed regarding the software not the workbook. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
