affbenny
I loss details in the picture when I convert a rw2 file via AffinityPhoto. The jpg from the camera has more detail. There is more detail when I convert the rw2 file in SilkyPix(The program following the camera) The camera is the Panasonic DMC-FZ1000. I have made some example-files but I can not upload them (Error 500). What ever that is?? The basic uploader does not work either!
Staff MEB Posted May 1, 2017 Staff Share Posted May 1, 2017 Hi affbenny, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Forum's attachments/files must not exceed 20Mb. If you need to upload files with a bigger size you have to host them in a file sharing/cloud service and post the links to the (shared) files here. I suggest you post a screenshot of the two JPG's side by side showing the same area of the image at 100% zoom (one exported by Affinity and the other generated by the camera) so we can see what you are referring to. affbenny 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference | Call for Camera Images

R C-R
@affbenny To post an attachment to this forum you must use the "More Reply Options" button at the bottom of the reply window. It is a two step process: first select the file with the "Choose File" button & then click the Attach This File" button to attach it to the post. R C-R
I give up. Nobody i this forum can apparently help me. :( :( If you want help, please consider MEB's suggestion of what to post here. (Also, your dropbox link now generates a 404 error so we have nothing to refer to.) Staff MEB Posted May 6, 2017 Staff Share Posted May 6, 2017 Hi affbenny, I'm sorry the delay getting back to you. The difference in sharpness you are seeing here is mostly because we don't apply any sharpening to the image by default (contrary to other RAW converters/developers or the JPG's processed by the camera which do apply some sharpening). If you go to the Details tab, check Detail Refinement and increase the sliders you should be able to match the result you get in other software. You may also try to increase the Clarity slightly in the Basic tab.
