MalcolmC
Hi, I am new to Afinity Designer and would like to know if anyone knows how to port DrawPlus X8 files to Afinity Designer? I have looked through the tutorial videos and these forums but not found a complete answer. I have tried using the PDF output from DrawPlus but it rasterizes some elements of the files. Thank you in advance
Staff stokerg Posted April 27, 2017 Staff Share Posted April 27, 2017 Hi Rnsl and welcome to the forums, Could you try Exporting from DrawPlus as an SVG and then opening that in Affinity Designer. As we don't have a direct import for DPP files, you will always need to export as either a PDF or SVG (or any other image type) and then open this in Affinity. Also, you may want to edit your username here on the forums, as spam bots are likely to pick up on the email address.
Alfred
I have tried using the PDF output from DrawPlus but it rasterizes some elements of the files. If you have applied any filter effects in DrawPlus, the affected elements will always be rendered as bitmap (i.e. rasterized). Anything which is pure vector should export as vector to either PDF or SVG. pioneer
On a related note to this question how do I output a single layer as a PDF in drawplus? At the moment when I try to do it the pdf contains all layers. Sorted worked out how to do it. John Quote AMD Ryzen 7 5800 X.
