Affinity photo 1.5.1.54 and beta crawling

Recommended Posts

So I have a fresh OS setup is:

m.2 hdd

64GB ram

GTX 1080 ti

I7-7700k

Affinity is acting really slow. i just open a document and use the brush with the mouse to experience extreme lag.

I tried the beta to see if anything was changed and no, it hasn't yet.

Is anyone aware of this ? / Is there a fix coming for this ?

regards

Hey inediblered, welcome to the Affinity Forums.

It could be an issue with the m.2 hdd. I assume this issue has only just happened with your new setup? What was your old setup - was it working fine?

I'll have to see if anyone has done any internal testing on an m.2 hdd.

- What type of document are you using?

- What brushes are you using?

- Are you able to record a video of the performance issues at all?

- Can you try switching to WARP from the Preferences > Performance dialog to see if that changes anything?

- What OS are you running? Is it the Creators Update?
