Don Baartz
When I open a photo why doesn't the inpainting option become available. Under the edit button it is greyed out. How do I access this functionality?
Staff Lee D Posted April 21, 2017 Staff Share Posted April 21, 2017 Hi Don, Welcome to the forums. Once you have opened your image, the Inpainting Tool can be selected from the toolbar on the left.

How do I access this functionality? The inpainting option under "Edit" only affects areas that have already been selected. Alfred
The inpainting option under "Edit" only affects areas that have already been selected. And it only works on a 'Pixel' layer, not an 'Image' layer. If you see the photo designated as '(Image)' in the Layers panel, you need to right-click that layer and choose 'Rasterize...' so that it shows as '(Pixel)' instead.
