mendam02
This might be a silly question but I am looking for a product to create flyers, etc for a rescue that I volunteer for. Publisher seems to have poor reviews and ADOBE is way to expensive for what we can afford. I have been searching around and I think Affinity Designer would be a good product but I am in foreign territory with this and would like some insight into this matter. Thank you! v_kyr
Hi and welcome to the forum, yes you can use it for making flyers, posters and leaflets etc. that's what I used it often for. Though for more complex brochures, booklets or things like that, other publishing tools like InDesign, Scribus, the abandoned PagePlus etc. are better suited due to their advanced page setup, text handling and text overflow capabilities. Uuiop
Not to forget QuarkXpress either, but we are looking forward to Serif's "Affinity Publisher" which we might see at the end of this year, and is not to be confused with Microsoft's offering. There is a very awkward) open source -- and free -- application out there too.
