NebraskaNed
I am having an issue with placing .tiff photos in designer. If I save an image as an .afphoto it comes in at the size and resolution that I saved it as. However, if I try to place a tiff, instead of coming in at 2.12" x 2.12" @ 300dpi, it comes in at 636 pixels x 636 pixels @ 72 dpi. I have come to realize that this is because every time I export a tiff (or a jpeg for that matter) it converts my measurements over to 72 dpi regardless of what I determined. Is there any way to keep this from happening? Also, is it best to just place the .afphoto and then export the designer file as an .eps or .pdf for printing? MikeW
It's the same number of pixels. That's all that is really important. An image of 2.12 inches x 300 dpi = 636 pixels. If AD isn't bringing it in at 2.12", then use the transform panel to resize it precisely.
Fixx
I suppose this is the same old issue about saving dpi value in metadata. AP keeps 72 dpi in meta unless you uncheck "embed metadata".
