jonfuller1004 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Hi all I have made a logo in vector mode, how do I export it and give it to client so that it is usable at what ever size? Quote
Staff MEB Posted December 30, 2014 Staff Posted December 30, 2014 Any vector formats will keep you logo scalable (unless you've used raster effects or unsupported vector features). PDF is probably your best bet, since it's widely used in the industry. Other options are EPS or SVG. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
jonfuller1004 Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 the pdf i exported was very pixely Quote
Staff MEB Posted December 30, 2014 Staff Posted December 30, 2014 That's probably because you're used FX effects or some less common gradient types (like conical) forcing those bits to being rasterised. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Jakerlund Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 A work around that i've always used in Inkscape exporting a PDF logo with drop shadow... Do a separate object with the Gaussian Blur effect on it under the main object and it looks good in the PDF. If you do the Outer Shadow blur thing on the main object it gets very pixely in the PDF. Attached image was exported as a PDF and zoomed into to exaggerate the difference. Arctic Gorilla and ronniemcbride 2 Quote
retrograde Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 That is a great workaround Jakerland, still this needs to get sorted if we're getting the "jaggies" on export to pdf...? To be honest I haven't attempted it yet and I imagine a suitable fix is easier said than done...
