[Fixed] Layer name input fields cut off

Recommended Posts

This is not a big issue and a bit hard to explain but, in Affinity Photo, the text box / input field that is used to edit a layer's name is cut off to the right, as the scrollbars don't automatically move enough to the right. Therefore I can't see the last few letters while writing them. I can still drag the panel's scrollbars manually to see the rest though.

The actual text in this input field is "Very long sentence whose ending is not visible while editing", but the "editing" at the end is cut off while editing. It is not cut off when not editing it, of course:

The same issue exists in Affinity Designer, but only in the slices panel, not in the layers panel. It's a bigger issue in Designer as there are no scrollbars I could drag to see the rest.

Hey Jimmini,

I can only reproduce this in the release version. The beta version .63 seems to just keep pushing across as you type so you don't see a scrollbar. I think this may have been changed to address a similar but slightly different issue. Are you able to confirm this at all in the beta version?

Thanks for your help with this bug. We have now resolved the problem and will make the fix available in the next Windows release.
